Summary
Ziyad reports from Malik from Abu al-Nadr, client of Umar ibn Ubaydallah, that Abdallah ibn Unays al-Juhani said to the Messenger of God ﷺ: Messenger of God, my home is far away; command me to a night on which I should come down. The Messenger of God said to him: come down on the night of the twenty-third of Ramadan. The editor notes that the hadith is cut-off, since Abu al-Nadr did not meet Abdallah ibn Unays, though it is connected through sound routes; and that al-Dahhak ibn Uthman transmitted it from Abu al-Nadr from Busr ibn Said from Abdallah ibn Unays with the wording of Abu Said's hadith, which Ibn Abd al-Barr considered disapproved in this chain. 1
