A verbatim excerpt of the text, forty words at most; the full text is in the edition cited under sources
Chain of transmission
Summary
Malik transmits from Humayd al-Tawil, from Anas ibn Malik (may God be pleased with him), who said: we travelled with the Messenger of God ﷺ in Ramadan, and he did not blame the one who fasted for the one who broke the fast, nor the one who broke the fast for the one who fasted. The editor notes that Abu Musab and, through him, Ibn Hibban and al-Baghawi transmitted it, as did Suwayd, al-Qa'nabi (al-Bukhari 1947), al-Jawhari and al-Shafii, and refers to al-Tamhid (2/169). 1
