The editor notes Ibn Abd al-Barr's view that Malik narrated it connected, that Said ibn Dawud ibn Abi Zunbar and Juwayriya ibn Asma narrated it so from him, and that it is in Muslim's Sahih through a route from Juwayriya. 1
