Summary
Malik transmits from Zayd ibn Aslam, from Ata ibn Yasar, that the Messenger of God ﷺ said: whoever is protected by God from the evil of two things enters Paradise. A man said: do not tell us, Messenger of God. The Prophet was silent, then repeated the same words, and the man said: do not tell us; this went on until a man beside him silenced him. The Prophet said: whoever is protected by God from the evil of what is between his jaws and what is between his legs enters Paradise. The editor notes the differing reports on whether 'do not tell us' is a prohibition or an offer, and that the hadith is connected through al-Ala ibn Abd al-Rahman from his father from Abu Hurayra (may God be pleased with him) in Muslim and elsewhere. 1
