Summary
Malik transmits from Safwan ibn Sulaym, from Ata ibn Yasar, that a man asked the Messenger of God ﷺ: may I seek permission to enter upon my mother? He said: yes. The man said: I am with her in the house. He said: seek permission to enter upon her. He said: I am her servant. He said: seek permission to enter upon her; would you like to see her naked? He said: no. He said: then seek permission. The editor notes Ibn Abd al-Barr's view that it is a sound relayed (mursal) report on which there is agreement as to its soundness. 1
