- Muhammad ibn Abi Umama ibn Sahl ibn Hunayf
Summary
Malik transmits from Muhammad ibn Abi Umama ibn Sahl ibn Hunayf (may God be pleased with him), that he heard his father say: my father Sahl ibn Hunayf washed at al-Kharrar. He took off a robe he was wearing, and Amir ibn Rabia was looking. Sahl had a fair, fine skin, and Amir said to him: I have never seen anything like today, not even a virgin's skin. Sahl immediately fell ill and his illness grew severe. The Messenger of God was told that Sahl had fallen ill and could not come with him. Sahl told him what Amir had done, and the Messenger of God ﷺ said: why would one of you kill his brother? Why did you not bless him? The evil eye is real. Make ablution for him. Amir made ablution for him, and Sahl went out with the Messenger of God with no ailment. 1
