Summary
Yahya transmits from Malik, from Ibn Shihab, that Umar ibn al-Khattab (may God be pleased with him) appealed to the people at Mina: whoever has knowledge of the blood-money, let him inform me. Al-Dahhak ibn Sufyan al-Kilabi stood up and said: the Messenger wrote to me that I should make the wife of Ushaym al-Dhibabi an heir to her husband's blood-money. Umar said to him: go into the tent until I come to you. When he came down, al-Dahhak told him, and Umar ruled accordingly. Ibn Shihab said: Ushaym's killing was accidental. 1
