Summary
Malik transmits from Yahya ibn Said, from Amra bint Abd al-Rahman, that Aisha offered Barira's people that she would pay her price at once and free her, but they refused except that the clientage should be theirs. The Prophet ordered her to buy her and free her, for clientage belongs to the one who frees. 1
