Summary
Malik transmits from Yahya ibn Said and others, from al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Hasan al-Basri, and from Muhammad ibn Sirin, that a man in the time of the Messenger freed six slaves of his when he was dying. The Messenger drew lots among them and freed a third of those slaves. Malik said: it reached me that this man had no property except them. The editor notes that the report is connected from al-Hasan and Ibn Sirin from Imran ibn Husayn from the Prophet ﷺ, and it is established and sound. 1
