Summary
Malik transmits from Abdallah ibn Abi Bakr, from Amra bint Abd al-Rahman, from Aisha, wife of the Prophet ﷺ, that she said: among what was revealed in the Qur'an was a ruling that ten known sucklings forbid, then it was abrogated by five. The Messenger died while that ruling was still recited in the Qur'an. Yahya said Malik said: this is not what the people here act upon. The editor notes that Ibn Abd al-Barr said Malik alone transmitted the last sentence from Abdallah ibn Abi Bakr, while Yahya ibn Said al-Ansari and al-Qasim ibn Muhammad transmitted from Amra without it, and the editor considers their transmission the sounder. 1
