Summary
Malik says it reached him that Umar ibn al-Khattab (may God be pleased with him) or Uthman ibn Affan (may God be pleased with him) judged in the case of a woman who deceived a man about herself, claiming she was free, so he married her, and she bore him children. The judgment was that he ransoms her children with their equivalents. Yahya said he heard Malik say: value is fairer in this, God willing. 1
