Summary
Malik transmits from Rabia ibn Abi Abd al-Rahman that a man from Iraq came to Umar ibn al-Khattab (may God be pleased with him) and said: I came to you about a matter with no head and no tail. Umar asked what it was. He said: false testimonies have appeared in our land. Umar asked: has that really happened? He said yes. Umar said: by God, no man in Islam shall be imprisoned except on the testimony of the trustworthy. 1
