Summary
A report that Malik transmits from al-Ala' ibn Abd al-Rahman, who said: we went in to Anas ibn Malik (may God be pleased with him) after noon, and he got up and prayed the afternoon prayer. When he finished we mentioned the early prayer, or he did. He said: I heard the Prophet ﷺ say three times: that is the prayer of the hypocrites, when one of them sits until the sun turns yellow and is between the two horns of Satan, or on the horn of Satan, then rises and pecks four times, remembering God in it only a little. The editor notes that Abu Mus'ab transmitted it, with al-Baghawi and Ibn Hibban from him, Ishaq al-Tabba' and Ibn Mahdi in Ahmad, Suwayd, al-Qa'nabi with Abu Dawud (413) and al-Jawhari and al-Bayhaqi, Ibn Wahb in Ibn Khuzayma (333) and al-Tahawi, and Abd al-Razzaq (2080). 1
