«لا يخرج أحد من المسجد بعد النداء إلا أحد يريد الرجوع إليه إلا منافق»
A verbatim excerpt of the text, forty words at most; the full text is in the edition cited under sources
Summary
A report from Malik that he was told Sa'id ibn al-Musayyab said that it is said no one leaves the mosque after the call, except one who intends to return to it, or a hypocrite. The editor notes that Ibn Abd al-Barr said this is not said by opinion and must be by directive, and that its meaning is transmitted with a chain. He cites the report of Abu al-Sha'tha' that a man left the mosque after the call, and Abu Hurayra (may God be pleased with him) said: as for this man, he has disobeyed Abu al-Qasim, from Muslim, Abu Dawud, al-Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah and al-Nasa'i. 1 2
