Summary
A report that Malik transmits from Abu al-Nadr, client of Umar ibn Ubayd Allah, from Busr ibn Sa'id: Zayd ibn Khalid al-Juhani (may God be pleased with him) sent him to Abu Juhaym to ask what he had heard from the Prophet ﷺ about one who passes in front of one who prays. He told him the Prophet said that if the passer-by knew what was upon him, standing for forty would be better for him than passing in front of him. Abu al-Nadr said he did not know whether it was forty days, months or years. The editor cites al-Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawud, al-Tirmidhi, al-Nasa'i, Ibn Hibban, al-Darimi and Ahmad, and refers to al-Tamhid. 1 2
