- Zayd ibn Aslam
- Amr ibn Rafi
Summary
A report that Malik transmits from Zayd ibn Aslam from Amr ibn Rafi', in the chapter on the middle prayer: he was writing a codex for Hafsa, the mother of the believers, and she told him to inform her when he reached the verse of al-Baqara about guarding the prayers. When he reached it, she dictated it with the afternoon prayer added after the middle prayer, as in Aisha's report before it. The editor notes that Abu Mus'ab transmitted it from Malik. 1
