Chain of transmission

  1. Malik ibn Anas
  2. Yazid ibn Ruman

Summary

A report that Malik transmits from Yazid ibn Ruman, in the chapter on what is done in recitation: he prayed beside Nafi' ibn Jubayr ibn Mut'im, and when Nafi' was at a loss for a verse, he would nudge him and prompt him during the prayer. The editor notes that Abu Mus'ab, Suwayd and Harun ibn Isa transmitted it, and Ibn Abi Shayba too. 1
