Summary

A report that Malik transmits from Abdullah ibn Abi Bakr (may God be pleased with him) from his paternal aunt, from the daughter of Zayd ibn Thabit (may God be pleased with him), in the chapter on the end of menstruation: she was told that women would call for lamps in the middle of the night to look at their purity, and she disapproved of it, saying women did not do this. The editor notes that Abu Mus'ab, Suwayd, Muhammad ibn al-Hasan, Ma'n ibn Isa and Yahya ibn Bukayr transmitted it, and that al-Bayhaqi reports a different version. 1
