«نعم، ولا حظ في الإسلام لمن ترك الصلاة»

A verbatim excerpt of the text, forty words at most; the full text is in the edition cited under sources

Summary

The first hadith in the chapter on how to deal with someone overcome by blood from a wound or a nosebleed. Yahya transmits from Malik from Hisham ibn Urwa from his father that al-Miswar ibn Makhrama (may God be pleased with him) told him he entered on Umar ibn al-Khattab (may God be pleased with him) on the night he was stabbed. Umar woke him for the dawn prayer, saying yes, and that there is no share in Islam for one who leaves prayer; he prayed while his wound was bleeding. The editor notes that Abd al-Razzaq transmitted it through several chains that do not go through Malik, including that al-Miswar and Ibn Abbas entered on Umar when he was stabbed. 1
