Summary
Sha'rawi holds that the verse denying the Prophet ﷺ guidance of the people does not deny him showing. Guidance is of two kinds: showing and clarity, and help and success 2.
Provision and guidance
He says that provision for creatures is a gift of Lordship owed to everyone on earth, so it does not depend on their belief, unlike the gift of Godhead, which is a duty 1.
The Prophet and showing
He holds that the Prophet's task is to show people God's way, not to bring them to it by force. The verses that deny and affirm his guidance distinguish showing from compulsion 3.
Not yet checked
This distinction is Sha'rawi's reading and has not been checked against the creedal and exegetical books. The academic view and any non-Sunni view have not been checked.
