Overview
al-Sunh: a quarter on the upper side of Medina, named after the fortified tower "al-Sunh" that the Banu al-Harith ibn al-Khazraj built. It is one of the quarters of Medina, as Yaqut has it. 2
The house of Abu Bakr was in it when he married Mulayka, or Habiba, the daughter of Kharija ibn Zayd. It lies about a mile from the house of the Prophet. 2
