Sulayman ibn Umar al-Ahdal

سليمان بن عمر الأهدل

The Yemeni traditionist Abu al-Mahasin Sulayman ibn Umar al-Ahdal al-Zabidi, born at Zabid in 1137 AH and known as the traditionist of Yemen; he wrote works including a commentary on a versified treatise on hadith terminology.

Abu al-Mahasin Sulayman ibn Umar ibn Yahya ibn Umar ibn Maqbul al-Ahdal al-Zabidi, a Yemeni traditionist, known as the "traditionist of Yemen". He was born in Zabid in 1137 AH (1725 CE) and died in 1197 AH (1783 CE) 1.

Among his works is a commentary on a versified poem on the terminology of hadith 1.
