Overview
Abu al-Rabi' Sulayman ibn Muhammad ibn Abd Allah al-Hawwat al-Shafshawni al-Fasi. He came from a noble house of Fez, and was one of the scholars of the Maghrib in the thirteenth century AH 1.
Dates
He was born in 1160 AH (1747 CE) and died in 1231 AH (1816 CE), according to the encyclopedia Mawsu'at A'lam al-Ulama' wa al-Udaba' 1.
