Overview
Imran ibn Amr Muzayqiya, lord and chief of the Azd. In the account of al-Rahiq al-Makhtum, the migration of the Azd from Yemen was on his judgement. 1 2
The migration
They moved about in the lands of Yemen and sent scouts ahead. Then they went north, and the sons of Amr dispersed to their last dwellings. Tha'laba ibn Amr turned toward the Hijaz; Khuza'a moved to Marr al-Zahran; Imran ibn Amr settled in Oman with his sons, who are the Azd of Oman; and Jafna ibn Amr went to Syria. 1 The author notes that the sources differ widely on the time of these migrations and their causes. 1
