Overview
The Aws and the Khazraj
al-Raheeq al-Makhtum says that among the sons of this Tha'laba were the Aws and the Khazraj, the two sons of Haritha ibn Tha'laba 1. In another place the author cites the preference of Sulayman al-Nadawi that the Ansar, of the Aws and the Khazraj, were not of the family of Qahtan but of the family of Nabit ibn Isma'il 3 4. Their lineage is therefore a matter of dispute among genealogists.
For young visitors
Tha'laba was the grandfather of the Aws and the Khazraj, the two tribes who lived in Medina and supported the Prophet ﷺ after the Hijra.
