Abu al-Asbagh Isa ibn Sahl ibn Abdallah al-Asadi, a Maliki jurist and judge from Córdoba. 1

He became known for his legal opinions on new cases, and the imams praised his abundant learning and good character. The encyclopaedia gives his birth as 413 AH and his death as 486 AH. These dates come from one source and need an additional source. 1
His nisba is al-Jayyani al-Qurtubi, and he is connected with Córdoba.
