Life in time
Overview
Al-Malik al-Aziz Imad al-Din Uthman ibn Salah al-Din. Egypt was settled for him when his father died in 589 AH 1.
He died in 595 AH, and his son al-Mansur was set up, but his uncle al-Malik al-Adil rose and took possession of Egypt 2.
According to al-Maqrizi
Al-Maqrizi says that after his father Saladin, the Cairo residence was lived in by al-Malik al-Aziz 3.
He says that in al-Aziz's time the zakat office in Egypt seized a merchant's goods and demanded the zakat on what he carried. Al-Aziz looked into the collection of zakat, heard shocking reports about it, and ordered that the assessment be left to the owners of property 4.
