Summary

Malik transmits from Yahya ibn Said from Muadh ibn Jabal that he said: raiding is of two kinds: a raid in which generous people spend, a partner shares fairly, a commander is obeyed, and corruption is avoided; that raid is entirely good. And a raid in which generous people do not spend, partners do not share fairly, the commander is not obeyed, and corruption is not avoided; that raid, its doer does not come back with a bare balance. The editor notes that the hadith is relayed in Baqiyya ibn al-Walid's route and Baqiyya is weak. 1
