Summary
Malik transmits from Hisham ibn Urwa, from his father, that Usama ibn Zayd (may God be pleased with him) was asked, while sitting with him, how the Messenger of God ﷺ travelled when he set out in the Farewell Pilgrimage; he said: he travelled at an easy pace, and when he found an open space he hastened. Malik said Hisham said: hastening is above the easy pace. 1
