Summary
The first hadith in the chapter on one held back without an enemy. Malik transmits from Ibn Shihab, from Salim ibn Abdallah, from Abdullah ibn Umar, who said: one held back by illness does not release himself until he circumambulates the House and runs between al-Safa and al-Marwa. If he is compelled to wear some of the garments he cannot do without, or medicine, he does that and pays the ransom. The editor notes that Abu Musab (1162) and Suwayd (566) transmitted it from Malik. 1
