Summary
Malik transmits from Yahya ibn Said, from Abu al-Hubab Said ibn Yasar, that the Messenger of God ﷺ said: whoever gives charity from good earnings, and God accepts only what is good, it is as if he places it in the hand of the Most Merciful, who nurtures it as one of you nurtures his foal or his young camel, until it becomes like a mountain. The editor notes Ibn Abd al-Barr's view that this report in the Muwatta is relayed (mursal), that the hadith is sound and agreed upon, and that it is also reported connected from Abu Hurayra (may God be pleased with him). 1
