Summary
It reached Malik that Isa ibn Maryam used to say: do not multiply speech without the remembrance of God, lest your hearts harden; for the hard heart is far from God. Do not look into people's sins as if you were their lords; look into your own sins as if you were servants, for people are either tested or healthy; so have mercy on those in trial and praise God for health. 1
