Summary
It reached Malik that the Prophet ﷺ said: if there is a medicine that reaches the disease, then cupping will reach it. The editor notes Ibn Abd al-Barr's view that the meaning of this hadith is preserved from Abu Salama on Abu Hurayra (may God be pleased with him)'s authority, from Humayd on Anas's authority, and from Samura, with differing wording. 1
