Summary
Malik transmits from Abu al-Zinad, from al-A'raj, from Abu Hurayra (may God be pleased with him), that the Messenger of God ﷺ said: Adam and Moses argued, and Adam prevailed over Moses. Moses said to him: are you Adam, who led people astray and drove them out of Paradise? Adam said: are you Moses, whom God gave the knowledge of all things and chose above people with His message? He said: yes. Adam said: do you blame me for a matter decreed upon me before I was created? The editor notes that one copy made this the first chapter of the Book of Qadar, and that this chapter heading has no basis in the manuscripts. 1
