Summary
Yahya said: Malik was asked: may a woman eat with a man who is not a close relative, or with her slave? Malik said: there is no harm in it, if it is in a manner customary for a woman to eat with such men. A woman may eat with her husband, with another man who eats with her, or with her brother in the same way. It is disliked for a woman to be alone with a man with whom she has no bond of forbidden marriage. 1
