Summary
Malik transmits from Ata ibn Abi Muslim Abdallah al-Khurasani, who said: the Messenger of God ﷺ said: shake hands and the rancour will go; give gifts to one another and you will love one another, and enmity will go. The editor notes Ibn Abd al-Barr's view that the hadith is connected through good routes, and that hadiths of this meaning from al-Bara, Umar, Muadh and Anas are weak. 1
