Summary
Yahya ibn Said reported to Malik: it reached me that a person can reach, through good character, the rank of one who stands in prayer at night and is thirsty in the midday heat. The editor notes Ibn Abd al-Barr's view that this cannot be an opinion, and that it is reported raised (to the Prophet ﷺ) through sound routes from Yahya ibn Said and others. 1
