Summary
Malik transmits that Muadh ibn Jabal said: the last thing the Messenger of God ﷺ enjoined on me, when I had put my foot in the stirrup, was: treat people well, O Muadh ibn Jabal. The editor notes Ibn Abd al-Barr's view that the report is severely broken in Malik's transmission, and that the sound report in its sense is the hadith of Abu Dharr. 1
