Summary
Malik said he was told that the Prophet ﷺ said: I have left among you two matters; you will not go astray so long as you hold fast to them: the Book of God and the Sunna of His Prophet. The editor notes Ibn Abd al-Barr's comment on how well known the hadith is, and that its routes from Abu Hurayra (may God be pleased with him) and Amr ibn Awf are very weak. 1
