Summary
A saying of Malik: the matter on which there is no dispute among us, and on which the scholars have said that the buried treasure is only a hoard found from the buried treasure of the Jahiliyya, when it was not sought with money, and no expense or great work or effort was made for it. As for what was sought with money and great work was made for it, found once and missed once, it is not buried treasure. The editor notes that Abu Musab transmitted it from Malik. 1
