Summary

A saying of Malik: I think, and God knows best, that nothing is taken from the mines until what comes out of them reaches the amount of twenty dinars in coin or two hundred dirhams. When it reaches that, zakat is due on it at once, and what exceeds it is taken in proportion, as long as the mine yields ore. If its vein is cut off and ore comes again after that, zakat begins anew, as it began the first time. The editor notes that Abu Musab transmitted it from Malik. 1
