Summary

A saying of Malik with which he closes the chapter on zakat on coin: whoever acquires property of gold or silver, no zakat is due on it until a year passes from the day he acquired it. The editor notes that the word 'property' (mal) is not in one copy but is in the manuscripts, and that Abu Musab transmitted it from Malik. 1
