Summary
Malik transmits from Yahya ibn Said, from Said ibn al-Musayyab, that it reached him that the Prophet ﷺ said to a man of Aslam called Hazzal: it would have been better for you if you had covered him with your cloak. The editor notes that Malik's report is mursal according to several of his narrators, that its connected routes are in the two Sahihs from Abu Hurayra (may God be pleased with him) and Jabir, and that the other routes of Hazzal's story are not sound in his view. 1
