Summary
Malik said of a Christian man who conditionally freed a Christian slave, and the slave became Muslim: he is kept from the slave, and the slave is taken away from his Christian master; he may not be sold until his case is clarified. If the Christian dies with debt on him, it is paid from the price of the conditionally freed slave, unless his property is enough to bear the debt, in which case the conditionally freed slave is freed. 1
