Summary
Malik transmits from Hisham ibn Urwa, from his father, from Aisha, the story of Barira, who sought Aisha's help with the money of her contract of manumission. Her people made the clientage a condition for themselves. The Prophet ordered Aisha to buy her and free her and stipulate clientage for them, because clientage belongs to the one who frees. Then the Prophet ﷺ disapproved of conditions not in God's book, and made clear that every condition that contradicts God's book is void, however many there are. 1
