«إذا أصاب أحدكم المرأة ثم أراد أن ينام قبل أن يغتسل فلا ينم حتى يتوضأ وضوءه للصلاة»
A verbatim excerpt of the text, forty words at most; the full text is in the edition cited under sources
Summary
A report that Malik transmits from Hisham ibn Urwa from his father from Aisha, in the chapter on the ablution of one in sexual impurity who wants to sleep or eat before bathing: she used to say that whoever has intercourse with his wife and then wants to sleep before bathing should not sleep until he performs ablution as for prayer. The editor notes that Abd al-Razzaq transmitted it from Ibn Jurayj from Ata from Aisha, and that a witness from Abu Salama from Aisha says the Prophet ﷺ, when he wanted to sleep in impurity, performed ablution as for prayer. 1
