Chain of transmission
Summary
Yahya ibn Said said: Abu Bakr said: the boy was ten or twelve years old, and he bequeathed Bir Jushm, which his people sold for thirty thousand dirhams. Malik transmits from Yahya ibn Said, from Abu Bakr ibn Hazm, that a Ghassani boy was dying in Medina while his heir was in Syria, and this was mentioned to Umar ibn al-Khattab (may God be pleased with him). It was said to him: so-and-so is dying; will he bequeath? He said: let him bequeath. 1
