Summary
Yahya said: Malik told me, from Hisham ibn Urwa, from his father, that the Messenger said: whoever revives a dead land, it is his, and an unjust root has no right. Malik said: the unjust root is anything dug, taken or planted without right. The editor notes that the report is mursal according to all of Malik's narrators, and that what is transmitted connected from Hisham from several routes is not established for him except after examining each route. 1
