«لا يموت لأحد من المسلمين ثلاثة من الولد فيحتسبهم، إلا كانوا له جنة من النار»
A verbatim excerpt of the text, forty words at most; the full text is in the edition cited under sources
Summary
Malik transmits from Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr ibn Muhammad ibn Amr ibn Hazm (may God be pleased with him), from his father, from Abu al-Nadr al-Sulami, that the Prophet ﷺ said that no Muslim loses three children and seeks reward for them without them being a shield for him against the fire. A woman with him said: or two? He said: or two. The editor notes that Abu Musab, Suwayd and al-Qanabi transmitted it from Malik, and that its chain is weak because Abu al-Nadr al-Sulami is unknown among the Companions and the Successors and is known only through this report, though the text is sound from another route, citing al-Tirmidhi (1059). 1
