Summary
Malik says: every partner in profit-sharing or irrigation partnership should not stipulate anything from the money or the palms apart from his partner, because he becomes a labourer for that. He says: I irrigate for you on condition that you work for me on so-and-so many palms, watering them and pollinating them, and I enter profit-sharing with you on so-and-so much money, on condition that you work for me with ten dinars that are not part of what I enter profit-sharing with you on. That is not proper and not lawful. That is the practice among us. 1
